I how her final picture turned out. The end is a lot of work. Adding the background isn't hard, but you have to find just the right picture that you want to use. I had this gorgeous island sunset in my file folder and decided to use it for her. The next step is to double-check everything on her because once you add the lighting, the picture is usually complete. So I went through and double-checked everything out, fixed a few things here and there, and then saved.
Finally, the lighting. This part is my favorite. PSP7 makes it easy to do, but it's fun to play with. The program gives you 5 main 'lights' to deal with and you can choose the color (that shines), the strength (how bright), the angle (where the light points) and size of the cone (how far out the light reaches). I only used 4 out of the 5 lights on this picture. I tried to choose a sunset-type color scheme with each light. I placed specific lights above her head (to place shine on her hair) and on her side (to show that the sun is on her left side - notice how her petticoat and shoulder are lightened).
*whew* Well, she's all done now. I hope you liked seeing how I make my pics in PSP7! It was fun to do it this way!
I my Elizabeth - she turned out really good. I think I'm going to post one more pic and place all 4 parts on it so you can look at the Elizabeth Process as it progressed!
The dress looks wonderful... the lighting and color... interesting contrast between face and hair... I think the face would look better if it were given some darker browns (shadding). The background is lo-res.. it is very choppy I suggest blurring it to hell... I love the dress, howd you do that.. I cant get over it... hehe! Nice job...!!
Wow thanks so much for the comments! I have thought about the shading on her skin, yes. I happen to be pretty bad at that so I didn't bother to try it. Perhaps I will play around in PSP7 and see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion on the background too -- it was a small pic and I stretched it to fit it in. I think I will try blurring it to make it look better. Thanks again for the comment!

I dont use PSP7 so I cant help you with the shading... what I suggest is shadding on just a white background using grays and blacks... and brushing them... darker at one end and lighter on the other... blah and blah... experimentation is your friend!
